Biography
Mercy Izegbuwa Ehiorobo was born on November 11th, 1962, to her mother, Christiana who is still here with us today, and her father, the late Joseph Aigbovo, who has now been reunited with his beloved daughter in Heaven. Mercy was the second child, the first girl, of this large, wonderful family of fourteen. Her brother, Jude, is the eldest, followed by Mercy, then her sisters, Amenze, Adesuwa, Edoghogho, Helen, Enaruna, and Osariemen, then her younger brothers, Ese, Ikponmwonsa and Osabuohien, and her half-brothers, Adekunle, Monday, and Efosa.
For over thirty-eight years, Mercy was married to Jacob Uwuigbe Ehiorobo.
She loved him beyond comprehension, and he reciprocated. Before they married, when Dad was courting Ma, he was so dedicated, so persistent, and so single-minded in pursuing her, that her father, my grand-dad Aigbovo, got out his gun and tried to chase him away. Still, Jacob persisted. He was resilient, determined and focused entirely on making Mercy, the love of his life, his wife. Nothing was going to stop Jacob from winning Mercy’s heart and in the end, they lived and loved together, raising their wonderful, blessed family into adulthood, passing on their hard-gained wisdom, their immense love for each other and their children, down through the generations.

Mercy had five children and is the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren. Her eldest son, my brother Osasumwen, has one son of his own,
